How did you come to write this book?
I have some friends who work in the Intelligence business. I saw how difficult is was for them to balance their obligations as a husband and father against the needs of their country. I saw how ungrateful, opportunistic politicians were treating them and I decided I had to write a novel that told people what the war on terror was like from the perspective of the family man who gives his all to a sometimes ungrateful nation.
