How did you come to write this book?
Focusing on the adventure books, I've always admired those people who choose interesting (and sometimes dangerous) careers. Becoming a volunteer firefighter helped open this door. While researching the USCG book, Mayday!Mayday!, I became an official artist for the Coast Guard and got to experience their work in the Persian Gulf. That was certainly a high point in my career.
