Behind the Book
Dear Reader,
I hope you enjoy my debut novel, Nice Girls Don't Have Fangs. Part supernatural women's fiction, part oddball Southern comedy, it's the story of Jane Jameson, a small-town librarian who is fired, mistaken for a deer, shot, and turned into a vampire all in one evening.
Libraries have been an important part of my life since I was a budding young reader, running through Babysitters Club and Nancy Drew paperbacks faster than my parents could possibly buy them. As an adult, I realized how few books featured librarians—people who live and breathe books—and I was a little appalled. So when I started writing Nice Girls Don't Have Fangs, I knew where Jane had to work.
I hope you find Jane's passion for books and sense of humor a fitting tribute to the librarians who helped shape my lifelong love of reading. Nice Girls Don't Have Fangs is the first in a series of books featuring Jane.
Sincerely,
Molly Harper
