How did you come to write this book?
I love to read fantasy books, which seem to feature a lot of assassins. It's a type of character that's always fascinated me -- especially the moral questions they raise. Is it ever okay to kill someone for money? Do some people deserve to die? And so on and so forth.
I liked the idea of an assassin character so much that I put one into a fantasy book that I was writing as a secondary character -- and the assassin turned out to be more interesting than my main heroine! That's when I realized that I wanted to write an assassin book -- and Spider's Bite, the first book in my Elemental Assassin series, is the result of that realization.
I hope readers enjoy getting to know my assassin heroine, Gin Blanco, as much as I enjoyed writing her. Happy reading, everyone!
