King of Hearts

A Cassandra Swann Bridge Mystery

About The Book

At a crossroads with a decision that could change her future, Cassie Swann’s life is thrust into to turmoil when she recognizes a face from an old photo of her father’s that forces her to confront the tragedy of her past she has always avoided in this addition to the Cassandra Swann Bridge Mystery series.

Just as she is presented with the opportunity to become a bridge expert on a cruise ship, Cassie Swann notices a familiar face on the screen of her television, thrusting her whole life into turmoil. Quickly, she realizes that the face starring back from the screen belongs to a mystery figure from an old photo of her father’s, who was stabbed twenty years ago outside of a pub.

Coming to terms that it is time to face a tragedy she’s been running from for years, Cassie decides to meet the woman from the photo, Brigid Fraser. Considering Brigid named a racehorse after Cassie’s father, Handsome Harry, she is bound to have all of the answers to everything concerning her father.

Dealing with the discovery of Brigid and balancing tough decisions about her future, Cassie’s life is further complicated when she learns that a couple of threatening letters sent to an Indian couple from her bridge classes has escalated to murder, making her realize she is in the middle of a particularly deadly game.

Struggling to focus on two murders at once—one from twenty years ago and one that just happened—Cassie finds herself in grave danger, just as she begins to uncover some surprising secrets.
